What do stilt walkers do at an event?

Stilt walkers are costumed performers on stilts who tower over the crowd, greet guests, pose for photos and bring a sense of theatre to any space. They are one of the easiest ways to make an arrival feel like an event.

They can be styled to almost any theme, from 1920s Gatsby glamour to circus, winter and under-the-sea looks, and they work indoors with enough ceiling height or outdoors on level ground.

Where it works best

  • Launches and activations

Pulling a crowd and getting people filming.

  • Drinks receptions

Roaming and interacting while guests mingle.

  • Christmas parties

Festive characters that tower over the room.

  • Festivals and fun days

    Walkabout performances throughout the day.

  • Welcome and arrivals

Greeting guests at the door or on the red carpet.

  • Themed parties

    Gatsby, circus, winter or under-the-sea.

Tips from our team

  1. 1

    Check the ceiling height

Indoors, stilt walkers need generous ceiling height and clear doorways. Tell us the room and we will check.

  2. 2

    Mind the floor

Level, dry, non-slip floors are best. Grass and gravel need checking in advance.

  3. 3

Use them for the photo moment

A stilt walker beside your step-and-repeat or entrance sign makes every photo better.

Frequently asked questions

Do venues around Amlwch have rules for performers?

Many hotels and country houses have rules on ceiling rigging, fire, access times and changing space. Tell us your venue when you enquire and we will check everything before we confirm.

How much do stilt walkers cost in Amlwch?

There is no fixed price. Every event is different. Prices depend on the acts, the number of performers, timings, travel and location, so we quote each booking individually. Travel is part of the quote, and Amlwch is 58 miles west of Liverpool. Send us your date and venue for free, no-obligation options.

Which postcodes around Amlwch do you cover?

All of LL66, LL67, LL68, LL69, LL70, LL71 and LL72, including Llanfechell, Porthllechog, Rhos-y-bol, Llanerchymedd, Sir Ynys Mon - Isle of Anglesey and Carmel, plus the rest of North Wales and nearby Llangefni, Caergybi, Aberffraw and Bangor.

Can stilt walkers perform indoors?

Yes, with enough ceiling height and clear doorways. We check the venue before confirming.

Can stilt walkers hand out drinks or flyers?

Yes. Many clients use them to hand out drinks, favours or branded items.

How far ahead should we book?

As early as you can. Friday and Saturday dates in December and the summer months go first, often months ahead. Short notice is sometimes possible, so it is always worth asking.

Can the performers match our theme or brand colours?

Usually, yes. Tell us your theme, colours or brand guidelines and we will suggest the costumes and acts that fit best.

Do you work with our venue and event team?

Yes. We agree access, changing space, timings and any venue rules before the day, and work to your run of show.

Still have questions?

Tell us about your event and we'll come back with options.
