What is a champagne walker?

A champagne walker is a performer wearing a strolling table, usually as a large skirt or illuminated frame, that holds glasses of champagne, cocktails, canapés or favours. They glide through the crowd serving guests as they go.

LED versions light up a dark room and look spectacular on camera. They turn the welcome drink into the first moment of the show and work beautifully with Gatsby, Parisian and winter themes.

Where it works best

  • Desserts and favours

Sweet treats or gifts later in the night.

  • Awards and galas

Glamour on arrival and between courses.

  • Brand launches

Serving a signature drink or sample.

  • Christmas parties

Glowing tables in a festive room.

  • Weddings

Champagne or favours during the reception.

  • Welcome drinks

Serving the first glass as guests arrive.

Tips from our team

  1. 1

    Clear the route

A strolling table needs space to move, so keep walkways clear during service.

  2. 2

    Go LED for the evening

Illuminated tables are at their best once the lights go down.

  3. 3

    Agree drinks with the venue

Most venues supply and pour the drinks. We agree how the tables are filled and topped up.

Frequently asked questions

Do venues around Totnes have rules for performers?

Many hotels and country houses have rules on ceiling rigging, fire, access times and changing space. Tell us your venue when you enquire and we will check everything before we confirm.

How much do champagne walkers cost in Totnes?

There is no fixed price. Every event is different. Prices depend on the acts, the number of performers, timings, travel and location, so we quote each booking individually. Travel is part of the quote, and Totnes is 77 miles south of Cardiff. Send us your date and venue for free, no-obligation options.

Which postcodes around Totnes do you cover?

All of TQ6, TQ9 and TQ11, including South Hams, Stoke Gabriel, Dartington, Blackawton, Dartmouth and Stoke Fleming, plus the rest of Devon and nearby Torquay, Kingsbridge, Ivybridge and Bovey Tracey.

Do you supply the champagne?

Usually the venue or caterer supplies and pours the drinks, and the performers serve them. We agree the details with your venue.

Can the tables carry food or gifts instead?

Yes. Canapés, desserts, favours and branded samples all work.

How far ahead should we book?

As early as you can. Friday and Saturday dates in December and the summer months go first, often months ahead. Short notice is sometimes possible, so it is always worth asking.

Can the performers match our theme or brand colours?

Usually, yes. Tell us your theme, colours or brand guidelines and we will suggest the costumes and acts that fit best.

Do you work with our venue and event team?

Yes. We agree access, changing space, timings and any venue rules before the day, and work to your run of show.

Still have questions?
