What does a mermaid performer do?

Mermaid performers wear full mermaid tails and costumes and pose, interact and create photo moments. Some perform on a set or by a pool, and some in water where the venue allows it.

They are the centrepiece of under-the-sea themes and a magical surprise at pool parties, summer events and launches.

Where it works best

The perfect focal point by the water.
Under-the-sea themes
The heart of the theme.
Summer parties
Something different for the team.
Welcome moments
Greeting guests on a set.
Launches
For beauty, drinks and summer campaigns.
Family events
Magical for children and adults.

Tips from our team

1
Check the pool rules
In-water performances depend on the venue's rules and pool safety. We check first.
2
Build a set
A shell, rock or seaside set makes the mermaid the photo moment.
3
Light it blue
Blue and teal uplighting completes the underwater feel.

Do venues around Shepton Mallet have rules for performers?

Many hotels and country houses have rules on ceiling rigging, fire, access times and changing space. Tell us your venue when you enquire and we will check everything before we confirm.

How much do mermaids cost in Shepton Mallet?

There is no fixed price. Every event is different. Prices depend on the acts, the number of performers, timings, travel and location, so we quote each booking individually. Sometimes. It depends on the pool, safety and the venue's rules, which we check before confirming.

How far ahead should we book?

As early as you can. Friday and Saturday dates in December and the summer months go first, often months ahead. Short notice is sometimes possible, so it is always worth asking.

Usually, yes. Tell us your theme, colours or brand guidelines and we will suggest the costumes and acts that fit best.

Do you work with our venue and event team?

Yes. We agree access, changing space, timings and any venue rules before the day, and work to your run of show.
