What do showgirls do at an event?

Showgirls are professional dancers in the classic revue look: tall feathered headdresses, fans, sequins and heels. They can greet guests at the door, pose for photos, or perform a short choreographed routine on stage or the dance floor.

The look works for Gatsby and Parisian nights, carnival and festival themes, and any event that wants instant glamour. Some costumes are designed to work on stilts, so showgirls can tower over a busy room too.

Where it works best

Meet and greet
A glamorous welcome as guests arrive.
Christmas parties
Sparkle and feathers for the big night.
Gatsby and Parisian themes
Revue costumes that match the era.
Awards nights
A showpiece opening before the first award.
Launches
A head-turning moment for a reveal.
Festivals and fun days
Colourful walkabout and short sets.

Tips from our team

1
Agree the costume level
Costumes range from classic and elegant to full revue sparkle. We match them to your audience.
2
Check the headdress height
Full headdresses add real height. Low doorways and ceilings are worth flagging early.
3
Pair walkabout with a set
Showgirls greeting guests, then a short routine later, gives you two moments for one booking.

Frequently asked questions

Do venues around Preston have rules for performers?

Many hotels and country houses have rules on ceiling rigging, fire, access times and changing space. Tell us your venue when you enquire and we will check everything before we confirm.

How much do showgirls cost in Preston?

There is no fixed price. Every event is different. Prices depend on the acts, the number of performers, timings, travel and location, so we quote each booking individually. Travel is part of the quote, and Preston is 27 miles north-east of Liverpool. Send us your date and venue for free, no-obligation options.

Which postcodes around Preston do you cover?

All of PR1, PR2, PR4, PR5 and PR11, including Kirkham, Cottam, Warton, Tarleton, Freckleton and Fulwood, plus the rest of Lancashire and nearby Whitechapel, Longridge, Chorley and Blackburn.

Can showgirls perform a routine as well as walkabout?

Yes. Most bookings mix meet and greet with a short choreographed set. We plan the timings with you.

Can showgirls work on stilts?

Some can. Stilt showgirls need ceiling height and a level floor, which we check with the venue first.

How far ahead should we book?

As early as you can. Friday and Saturday dates in December and the summer months go first, often months ahead. Short notice is sometimes possible, so it is always worth asking.

Can the performers match our theme or brand colours?

Usually, yes. Tell us your theme, colours or brand guidelines and we will suggest the costumes and acts that fit best.

Do you work with our venue and event team?

Yes. We agree access, changing space, timings and any venue rules before the day, and work to your run of show.

Still have questions?

Tell us about your event and we'll come back with options.
