Booking jazz singers and bands for a Preston event

Preston sits in Lancashire, 27 miles north-east of Liverpool. Whether your event is in a hotel, a marquee or your own garden, we plan jazz singers and bands around the space, the timings and the guests.

Bookings from Whitechapel, Longridge and Chorley and the rest of Lancashire are just as easy. Travel for jazz singers and bands is included in your quote, so the price you see is the price you pay.

One thing we always check for events in Preston: choose the line-up for the room. A solo singer suits a reception room. A band suits a ballroom.

Why book a jazz singer or band?

A jazz singer or swing band sets the mood like nothing else: relaxed and elegant through drinks and dinner, then upbeat when it is time to dance.

It is the soundtrack of a Gatsby night and works just as well at gala dinners, weddings and client receptions.

Where it works best

  • Weddings

From the ceremony to the first dance.

  • Dinner

    Live music through the meal.

  • Christmas parties

    Swing versions of festive classics.

  • Gatsby nights

    Roaring twenties jazz and swing.

  • Drinks receptions

    Elegant background music.

  • Client events

Sophisticated and easy to talk over.

Tips from our team

  1. 1

    Check power and space

Bands need power and a performance area. We send a simple tech sheet.

  2. 2

    Agree volume levels

Background during dinner, louder for dancing. We plan it with you.

  3. 3

Choose the line-up for the room

A solo singer suits a reception room. A band suits a ballroom.

Frequently asked questions

Do venues around Preston have rules for performers?

Many hotels and country houses have rules on ceiling rigging, fire, access times and changing space. Tell us your venue when you enquire and we will check everything before we confirm.

How much do jazz singers and bands cost in Preston?

There is no fixed price. Every event is different. Prices depend on the acts, the number of performers, timings, travel and location, so we quote each booking individually. Travel is part of the quote, and Preston is 27 miles north-east of Liverpool. Send us your date and venue for free, no-obligation options.

Which postcodes around Preston do you cover?

All of PR1, PR2, PR4, PR5 and PR11, including Kirkham, Cottam, Warton, Tarleton, Freckleton and Fulwood, plus the rest of Lancashire and nearby Whitechapel, Longridge, Chorley and Blackburn.

Can the singer take requests?

Usually, with notice. Send your list and we will check with the performer.

How far ahead should we book?

As early as you can. Friday and Saturday dates in December and the summer months go first, often months ahead. Short notice is sometimes possible, so it is always worth asking.

Can the performers match our theme or brand colours?

Usually, yes. Tell us your theme, colours or brand guidelines and we will suggest the costumes and acts that fit best.

Do you work with our venue and event team?

Yes. We agree access, changing space, timings and any venue rules before the day, and work to your run of show.

Still have questions?

Tell us about your event and we'll come back with options.
