What are fake paparazzi?

Fake paparazzi are performers playing pushy celebrity photographers. As guests arrive they crowd round, shout names, fire off flashes and ask for one more shot, so everyone gets the full star treatment from the moment they step out.

Red carpet interviewers add a presenter with a microphone asking guests who they are wearing and what they expect from the night. Many paparazzi take real photos that can be shared after the event, making it entertainment and coverage in one.

Where it works best

Tips from our team

1
Brief them on VIPs
Names of the guest of honour or senior team help the paparazzi make the right fuss.
2
Ask about the photos
If the paparazzi take real photos, agree how and when you receive them.
3
Plan the arrival route
Paparazzi work best on a defined route, such as a red carpet or entrance, where every guest passes.

Frequently asked questions

Do venues around Lerwick have rules for performers?

Many hotels and country houses have rules on ceiling rigging, fire, access times and changing space. Tell us your venue when you enquire and we will check everything before we confirm.

How much do fake paparazzi and red carpet hosts cost in Lerwick?

There is no fixed price. Every event is different. Prices depend on the acts, the number of performers, timings, travel and location, so we quote each booking individually. Travel is part of the quote, and Lerwick is 299 miles north of Edinburgh. Send us your date and venue for free, no-obligation options.

Which postcodes around Lerwick do you cover?

All of ZE1, including Scalloway and Shetland Islands, plus the rest of North Scotland and nearby Brae, Hestingott, Kirkwall and Stromness.

Do the paparazzi take real photos?

Many do. We confirm the details for your booking, including how photos are shared afterwards.

Will guests feel uncomfortable?

The performers read the room. They make a fuss of guests who enjoy it and ease off for those who do not.

Can we add a red carpet interviewer?

Yes. A presenter with a microphone works well alongside paparazzi, and interviews can be filmed for a highlights video.

How far ahead should we book?

As early as you can. Friday and Saturday dates in December and the summer months go first, often months ahead. Short notice is sometimes possible, so it is always worth asking.

Can the performers match our theme or brand colours?

Usually, yes. Tell us your theme, colours or brand guidelines and we will suggest the costumes and acts that fit best.

Do you work with our venue and event team?

Yes. We agree access, changing space, timings and any venue rules before the day, and work to your run of show.

Still have questions?

Tell us about your event and we'll come back with options.
