What are mirror and disco ball characters?

Mirror characters are performers in costumes covered in small mirrored tiles, from head to toe. Under event lighting they throw reflections across the room, and up close guests see themselves in the costume, which makes for brilliant photos.

Options include mirror men, mirror ballerinas, mirror musicians and disco ball heads. They roam, pose and interact without words, and suit disco and 70s parties, winter themes, launches and any room with good lighting.

Where it works best

Winter wonderland
Icy sparkle for a frosted theme.
Disco and 70s parties
Mirror ball heads on the dance floor.
Festivals
Night-time walkabout that catches every light.
Arrivals
A dazzling welcome at the door.
Christmas parties
Sparkle as the lights go down.
Launches
Reflective, futuristic walkabout.

Tips from our team

1
Point a light at them
Mirror costumes come alive under spotlights or moving heads. Brief your lighting team.
2
Allow for visibility
Full mirror suits can limit the performer's view. We agree routes and keep walkways clear.
3
Plan for photos
Guests love selfies in a mirrored costume. Place characters near your photo area.

Frequently asked questions

Do venues around Forres have rules for performers?

Many hotels and country houses have rules on ceiling rigging, fire, access times and changing space. Tell us your venue when you enquire and we will check everything before we confirm.

How much do mirror and disco ball characters cost in Forres?

There is no fixed price. Every event is different. Prices depend on the acts, the number of performers, timings, travel and location, so we quote each booking individually. Travel is part of the quote, and Forres is 116 miles north of Edinburgh. Send us your date and venue for free, no-obligation options.

Which postcodes around Forres do you cover?

All of IV36, including Kinloss, Moray, Findhorn and Mundole, plus the rest of North Scotland and nearby Nairn, Elgin, Rothes and Fochabers.

Do mirror characters talk?

Usually not. They interact through movement, poses and gestures, which adds to the mystery.

Do they need special lighting?

They work in any room, but a spotlight or moving light makes the reflections spectacular.

Can a mirror character play music?

Yes. Mirror violinists and other musicians are available. Ask us about combining music and walkabout.

How far ahead should we book?

As early as you can. Friday and Saturday dates in December and the summer months go first, often months ahead. Short notice is sometimes possible, so it is always worth asking.

Can the performers match our theme or brand colours?

Usually, yes. Tell us your theme, colours or brand guidelines and we will suggest the costumes and acts that fit best.

Do you work with our venue and event team?

Yes. We agree access, changing space, timings and any venue rules before the day, and work to your run of show.

Still have questions?

Tell us about your event and we'll come back with options.
