What kind of singers can we book?

Event singers cover almost every style: pop and soul for a party, acoustic sets for a relaxed reception, classical and opera for a formal dinner, French chanson for a Parisian night and carols or festive standards at Christmas.

Most singers perform with backing tracks or alongside a pianist or guitarist, and many can switch style through the night, gentle during dinner and upbeat once the dancing starts. Singing waiters and surprise opera performers are popular twists.

Where it works best

Surprise performances
Singing waiters and hidden opera singers.
Weddings
Ceremony songs through to the evening.
Dinners
Background vocals through the meal.
Christmas parties
Festive standards and carols.
Parisian nights
French chanson and cabaret classics.
Drinks receptions
Easy-listening sets as guests mingle.

Tips from our team

1
Agree volume and position
A singer near the bar is different from one on stage. We plan placement with you.
2
Send your requests early
Special songs need time to prepare, so share them well before the day.
3
Match the style to the moment
Gentle for dinner, upbeat for the party. Many singers can do both in one booking.

Frequently asked questions

Do venues around Forres have rules for performers?

Many hotels and country houses have rules on ceiling rigging, fire, access times and changing space. Tell us your venue when you enquire and we will check everything before we confirm.

How much do singers and vocalists cost in Forres?

There is no fixed price. Every event is different. Prices depend on the acts, the number of performers, timings, travel and location, so we quote each booking individually. Travel is part of the quote, and Forres is 116 miles north of Edinburgh. Send us your date and venue for free, no-obligation options.

Which postcodes around Forres do you cover?

All of IV36, including Kinloss, Moray, Findhorn and Mundole, plus the rest of North Scotland and nearby Nairn, Elgin, Rothes and Fochabers.

Does the singer bring a PA?

Most bring a compact PA for receptions and dinners. For larger rooms we agree what your venue provides.

Can the singer learn a special song?

Often, yes, with enough notice. Send us the song and we will check.

Can we book a surprise performance?

Yes. Singing waiters and surprise opera singers are a fun way to start a dinner.

How far ahead should we book?

As early as you can. Friday and Saturday dates in December and the summer months go first, often months ahead. Short notice is sometimes possible, so it is always worth asking.

Can the performers match our theme or brand colours?

Usually, yes. Tell us your theme, colours or brand guidelines and we will suggest the costumes and acts that fit best.

Do you work with our venue and event team?

Yes. We agree access, changing space, timings and any venue rules before the day, and work to your run of show.

Still have questions?

Tell us about your event and we'll come back with options.
