What is a cabaret act at an event?

Cabaret and burlesque performers bring old-school glamour: feathers, sparkle, live vocals and theatrical routines. At events they are tasteful and fun, pitched to your audience.

Cabaret works well in Parisian, Gatsby and under-the-sea themes, and as a short set between courses at a dinner.

Where it works best

Parisian themes
The cabaret heart of the night.
Christmas parties
A glamorous show moment.
Private parties
Milestone birthdays with a theme.
Gatsby nights
Roaring twenties glamour.
Between courses
A short set to lift a dinner.
Under-the-sea
Themed cabaret in a treasure chest or shell.

Tips from our team

1
Plan the music
Cabaret usually brings its own tracks. We agree the cue with your DJ or AV team.
2
Short sets work best
One or two short sets keep energy high without stopping the night.
3
Brief us on the audience
We tailor every routine and costume to who is in the room.

Frequently asked questions

Do venues around Truro have rules for performers?

Many hotels and country houses have rules on ceiling rigging, fire, access times and changing space. Tell us your venue when you enquire and we will check everything before we confirm.

How much do burlesque and cabaret acts cost in Truro?

There is no fixed price. Every event is different. Prices depend on the acts, the number of performers, timings, travel and location, so we quote each booking individually. Travel is part of the quote, and Truro is 117 miles south-west of Cardiff. Send us your date and venue for free, no-obligation options.

Which postcodes around Truro do you cover?

All of TR1, TR2, TR3 and TR4, including St Mawes, Probus, Cornwall, Tregony, Grampound Road and Goonhavern, plus the rest of Cornwall and nearby St Agnes, Falmouth, Newquay and Camborne.

Is burlesque suitable for a work event?

Yes, when it is pitched right. We brief the performers on your audience and keep it glamorous and tasteful.

How far ahead should we book?

As early as you can. Friday and Saturday dates in December and the summer months go first, often months ahead. Short notice is sometimes possible, so it is always worth asking.

Can the performers match our theme or brand colours?

Usually, yes. Tell us your theme, colours or brand guidelines and we will suggest the costumes and acts that fit best.

Do you work with our venue and event team?

Yes. We agree access, changing space, timings and any venue rules before the day, and work to your run of show.

Still have questions?

Tell us about your event and we'll come back with options.
