What is a can-can show?

The can-can is the high-kicking, skirt-swirling dance made famous in the music halls of Paris. A can-can troupe brings colour, noise and energy to any room.

It is the centrepiece of a Parisian night and a brilliant way to launch the dancing at a Christmas party, gala or birthday.

Where it works best

Birthdays
A themed party with real energy.
Christmas parties
Christmas in Paris is a favourite.
Launches
French-themed product launches.
Parisian nights
The headline act of the theme.
Gala dinners
A finale before the dancing.
Weddings
A surprise for the evening guests.

Tips from our team

1
Clear the floor
Can-can needs a clear dance area. We agree it with the venue.
2
Hand straight to the DJ
End the set straight into the first track to fill the floor.
3
Add French hostesses
Hostesses at the door complete the look.

Frequently asked questions

Do venues around Truro have rules for performers?

Many hotels and country houses have rules on ceiling rigging, fire, access times and changing space. Tell us your venue when you enquire and we will check everything before we confirm.

How much do can-can dancers cost in Truro?

There is no fixed price. Every event is different. Prices depend on the acts, the number of performers, timings, travel and location, so we quote each booking individually. Travel is part of the quote, and Truro is 117 miles south-west of Cardiff. Send us your date and venue for free, no-obligation options.

Which postcodes around Truro do you cover?

All of TR1, TR2, TR3 and TR4, including St Mawes, Probus, Cornwall, Tregony, Grampound Road and Goonhavern, plus the rest of Cornwall and nearby St Agnes, Falmouth, Newquay and Camborne.

How many can-can dancers do we need?

It depends on your space and budget. A small troupe works for most rooms and we can scale up for big venues.

How far ahead should we book?

As early as you can. Friday and Saturday dates in December and the summer months go first, often months ahead. Short notice is sometimes possible, so it is always worth asking.

Can the performers match our theme or brand colours?

Usually, yes. Tell us your theme, colours or brand guidelines and we will suggest the costumes and acts that fit best.

Do you work with our venue and event team?

Yes. We agree access, changing space, timings and any venue rules before the day, and work to your run of show.

Still have questions?

Tell us about your event and we'll come back with options.
