What is flair bartending?

Flair bartending is cocktail making as a performance. Bartenders spin, flip and juggle bottles, shakers and tins while pouring real drinks, with routines that range from smooth and stylish to full showpieces.

Flair bartenders can run a cocktail bar for the evening, perform a short showcase set, or host a cocktail masterclass where guests make their own drinks. It suits drinks receptions, Gatsby nights, launches for drinks brands and team events.

Where it works best

Drinks receptions
Cocktails served with a show.
Team building
A hands-on, social activity.
Weddings
A signature cocktail served with flair.
Cocktail masterclasses
Guests learn to shake their own.
Drinks brand launches
Your product at the centre of the show.
Gatsby nights
Speakeasy cocktails with style.

Tips from our team

1
Allow overhead space
Bottle flips need height above the bar. Low ceilings and hanging decor limit the routine.
2
Agree the bar and licence
We agree with your venue who supplies the bar, the drinks and the licence before the day.
3
Create a signature drink
A cocktail named after your event or brand gives the show a focal point.

Frequently asked questions

Do venues around Truro have rules for performers?

Many hotels and country houses have rules on ceiling rigging, fire, access times and changing space. Tell us your venue when you enquire and we will check everything before we confirm.

How much do flair bartenders cost in Truro?

There is no fixed price. Every event is different. Prices depend on the acts, the number of performers, timings, travel and location, so we quote each booking individually. Travel is part of the quote, and Truro is 117 miles south-west of Cardiff. Send us your date and venue for free, no-obligation options.

Which postcodes around Truro do you cover?

All of TR1, TR2, TR3 and TR4, including St Mawes, Probus, Cornwall, Tregony, Grampound Road and Goonhavern, plus the rest of Cornwall and nearby St Agnes, Falmouth, Newquay and Camborne.

Do flair bartenders bring the drinks?

It depends on the booking and the venue. Often the venue supplies stock and the licence. We confirm the details with you.

Can they run a cocktail masterclass?

Yes. A masterclass is a popular team activity, with guests making and tasting their own cocktails.

Is flair bartending safe in a busy room?

Yes. Routines are performed behind or around the bar, with the space agreed in advance.

How far ahead should we book?

As early as you can. Friday and Saturday dates in December and the summer months go first, often months ahead. Short notice is sometimes possible, so it is always worth asking.

Can the performers match our theme or brand colours?

Usually, yes. Tell us your theme, colours or brand guidelines and we will suggest the costumes and acts that fit best.

Do you work with our venue and event team?

Yes. We agree access, changing space, timings and any venue rules before the day, and work to your run of show.
