Why book a saxophonist?

A live saxophonist adds instant class to a drinks reception or dinner, and real energy when playing over a DJ. It is one of the most versatile live music options you can book.

Sax suits everything from relaxed lounge sets to house and commercial dance sets, and it fits Gatsby and jazz themes perfectly.

Where it works best

Live sax over the DJ's set.
Launches
A stylish soundtrack for the reveal.
Corporate parties
A live edge for the dance floor.
Drinks receptions
Smooth, relaxed sets.
Gatsby nights
Jazz and swing standards.
Weddings
From reception to dance floor.

Tips from our team

1
Short, high-impact sets
Two or three sets at the right moments beat one long one.
2
Brief the DJ
A sax over the DJ works best when they share the set list in advance.
3
Roaming or fixed
Wireless kit lets the sax roam the room. Tell us what you prefer.

Frequently asked questions

Do venues around Truro have rules for performers?

Many hotels and country houses have rules on ceiling rigging, fire, access times and changing space. Tell us your venue when you enquire and we will check everything before we confirm.

How much do saxophonists cost in Truro?

There is no fixed price. Every event is different. Prices depend on the acts, the number of performers, timings, travel and location, so we quote each booking individually. Travel is part of the quote, and Truro is 117 miles south-west of Cardiff. Send us your date and venue for free, no-obligation options.

Which postcodes around Truro do you cover?

All of TR1, TR2, TR3 and TR4, including St Mawes, Probus, Cornwall, Tregony, Grampound Road and Goonhavern, plus the rest of Cornwall and nearby St Agnes, Falmouth, Newquay and Camborne.

Can the saxophonist play with our DJ?

Yes. Sax with DJ is one of the most popular combinations for parties and weddings.

How far ahead should we book?

As early as you can. Friday and Saturday dates in December and the summer months go first, often months ahead. Short notice is sometimes possible, so it is always worth asking.

Can the performers match our theme or brand colours?

Usually, yes. Tell us your theme, colours or brand guidelines and we will suggest the costumes and acts that fit best.

Do you work with our venue and event team?

Yes. We agree access, changing space, timings and any venue rules before the day, and work to your run of show.
